Some Background

Rudolph Pentz was also known as Rudolph Pintz.1

Birth - Marriage - Death

ChildRudolph Pentz was born circa 1713, in Hanover, Electorate of Brunswick-Lunenburg, Holy Roman Empire. Various locations are given... none of them particularly clear or accurately named... however, this is the correct location of Hanover in 1713. Other places say Pfalz (which is the German for the Palitinate), or Heubach, Darmstadt-Dieburg, Hessen. Heubach is/was in Wurttemberg and Darmstadt-Dieburg was not created until 1975. They are, more or less, in the same general (southern) Hesse area of Germany.2
GroomHe married Johanna on 1 July 1735 in Germany.
DeceasedHe died on 5 December 1790 in St. George's, Halifax, Nova Scotia. Since there is no location named "St. George" in Nova Scotia it must be the name of a church. There are two St. George's Churches in Halifax, Nova Scotia (Halifax is cited by the same source as the location of his death) and it may be that he is buried at one of these? The Little Dutch Church, consecrated in 1760, is located in an area where Geman immigrants had settled... they were Evangelical Lutherans and known as the "Foreign Protestants"...
