Some Life Events of Interest

In 1742, there is difference between John and Peter Dicks over the forge they built on Crum Creek. It overflowed into the land of Thomas Dell. Dell insisted upon a yearly settlement or the dam be dismantled. The Chester Meeting House mediated a resolution.1
John was disowned by the Quakers for the illegitimate child (James) by Margaret Grubb.1
